Place value begins in KS1 maths national curriculum with children learning the place value of numbers.
In Year 2, aged 6-7, children start to learn the place value of Tens and Ones
In Year 3, aged 7-8, children continue to become more fluent in place value, focusing on 3-digit numbers (Hundreds, Tens and Ones).
Oakfield Learning has created this set of 120 double sided HTO disks (40 of each value) which comes inside a handy plastic compartment box which makes them easier to store and keep organised.
Our place value counters have been designed for use with our plavalmat® place value charts. Choose between our Tens and Ones place value chart which is great for children in Year 2 (ages 6-7) who are still learning number bonds to 20, or our Hundreds, Tens and Ones place value chart that is perfect for children ages 7-8 in Year 3.

Our plavalmat® place value counters are easy to keep clean and hygienic between uses. As they are made from durable recycled plastic rather than foam or cardboard, they can be sink washed or put in a dishwasher inside a suitable bag.
The long-lasting, embossed design allows the counters to be re-used and washed repeatedly without the worry of the print fading or wearing off.
